July 27, 2020 - Barilla Group has released its new Sustainability Report, to share the path taken by the Company with society at large and to give a concrete contribution to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals, part of the 2030 Agenda.
The results included in the report were achieved thanks to the passion and dedication of all Barilla people and the various players in the supply chain, with whom we have shared common values and projects over the years, as well as our stakeholders with whom we continue to foster ongoing and stimulating dialogue.
In 2019, we have:
Reformulated the recipes of 455 PRODUCTS REDUCING THE QUANTITY of FATS, SATURATED FATS, SALT or SUGAR, or INCREASING the FIBER CONTENT*
Engaged MORE THAN 80,000 PEOPLE in ACTIVITIES dedicated to FOOD and
PHYSICAL EDUCATION, and HEALTHIER LIFESTYLES
Involved more than 9,000 FARMS in SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE PROJECTS for our strategic raw materials
Increased the RECYCLABILITY OF PACKAGING, reaching 99.7%
Reduced CO2 EMISSIONS by 30%* and adopted Science Based Targets
- Reduced WATER CONSUMPTION by 21%*

Results that encourage us to follow the journey undertaken to build a better future.
Following this path we publicly commit to reach the following milestones in the next months: 100% of our products packaging will be designed to be recycled and we will achieve gender pay equality for all Barilla People worldwide.
